Red H.E.A.R.R.T. puts on its 3rd Annual Red Bottom Event and 1st Annual Red Bow Tie event for men.

2018 Marked the eighth year of  “Go Red and Get Moving/ Stand Up For Heart Health.” The event is designed to help individuals of all ages understand the preventive measures, causes and impact of heart disease.  More specifically, preventive heart health is the focus.  Heart disease is the #1 killer of both men & women.  Yet, it is 80% preventable.

This year presented the third annual Red Bottom Wellness and Luncheon Affair along with the inaugural Red Bow Tie Wellness and Luncheon Affair geared toward men.

Red Bottoms Wellness & Luncheon Affair

On February 24, 2018, Red HEARRT (Help Educate and Reduce Risk Today) hosted its Third Red Bottom Shoes Luncheon & Wellness event for Women at the MC Benton Convention Center . This event, created to be a second signature event for Red HEARRT, was created with the goal of educating women; specifically women of color about heart health issues, preventive solutions, dietary and physical exercise tips, and delivering messages of empowerment and encouragement.  In 2017, this sold-out event attracted nearly 500 attendees.

Empowerment Speakers spoke about the Mind, Body & Soul as it relates to heart health.  Key speakers featured Mrs. Twana Wellman Roebuck, Lady Leah McNair and Jaleema Speaks, MD. Other program participants were Judge Denise Hartsfield, Co-Pastor Joyce McCarter, Alana McCarter- Williams, Lady Likesha Morgan Tilman , Ms. Barbara Lash & Apostle Gloria Samuels. Red Bow Tie Wellness & Luncheon Affair

In 2018 we launched our first Men’s Wellness & Luncheon Affair.  This event was inclusive of ALL, but specifically designed to educate men of color on heart health issues and preventive solutions, while providing dietary & physical exercise tips, empowering encouragement and more.

The guest speakers featured Mike Ryan, Former NFL Head Athletic Trainer & Super bowl and NFL NBC’s Sports Medicine Analyst (Jacksonville Jaguars) “and” Current NFL Player Engagement and Former NFL Player & Super Bowl Winner, Usama Young (New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns & Oakland Raiders).
